April 1st and 2nd: "Gardens of Growth and Legacy" California Native Plant Society - San Diego Chapter 5th Annual Garden Tour

"The Drought Defying Garden" Presentation by Greg Rubin (Part of the Garden Tour)

The California Native Plant Society-San Diego Chapter (CNPS-SD) is presenting its fifth annual Tour, 'Gardens of Growth and Legacy', the weekend of April 1st & 2nd, 2017, from 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. This enjoyable and educational weekend demonstrates that plants from our region can create gardens that are long-lived, water-smart and beautiful. The tour highlighst design elements and plant selections that embody a truly Southern Californian landscape aesthetic. The tour is self-guided, allowing visitors to select the gardens they wish to visit and to do so at their own pace.

GARDEN LOCATIONS:
Chula Vista, Bonita, and Imperial Beach, Lemon Grove and the San Diego neighborhoods of South Park and North Park

GARDENS AND EVENTS: 
• 19 private gardens staffed with interpretive docents, owners, and designers.
• 6 public gardens including South Bay Botanic Garden (SBBG), RECON Native Plants, Living Coast Discovery Center, and the Tijuana Estuary Visitor’s Center.
• Garden features: rainfall capture devices, edible plants, bird and butterfly habitat, and other sustainable features.
• Live garden installation: come watch a garden be planted with California native plants!
• Books, posters and seeds for purchase at our booth at the Spring Garden Festival at SBBG
• California native plant sale at RECON Native Plants concurrent with Garden Native Tour
• Greg Rubin will be giving a presentation entitled "The Drought Defying Garden" at the South Bay Botanic Garden at 6:30pm.

Greg Rubin will be giving a presentation entitled "The Drought Defying Garden" at the South Bay Botanic Garden at 6:30pm. See below for address. Tour Booklet required for entry (This is the physical ticket for the tour. See below}.

TICKETS
• $25 per person. Buy online here and save time. No online processing fee.
• Admission gains you entrance to the 19 private gardens. Public gardens featured on the tour do not require a Garden Native ticket.
• Checkout PayPal cart accepts credit cards and debit cards.
• Free for children under 18.
• Tickets include a one-time 50% admission price to Living Coast Discovery Center good until 6/30/17.
• Tour booklets (which are the physical ticket to event) can be picked up at South Bay Botanic Garden and at the 2400 block of Dulzura Ave in North Park on days of event.
• Tickets are non-refundable but can be used by another individual. This is a rain-or-shine event.

Saturday April 1st and Sunday April 2nd @9:30am to 4:30pm each day
